Meet Debbie Knight

About-Us~~element44Meet Debbie Knight, owner and operator of Exceptional Catering and Events.  “I’ve had a passion for cooking and planning events since I was very young.  However, life took me in a different direction for years and eventually brought me to the place where I feel most at home, serving others.”

Debbie has made it her goal to provide the exceptional food and truly unmatched service that has made Exceptional Catering the place to go for those who share and appreciate her passion.  Debbie is a member of the National Association of Catering Executives and participates in on-going education, including the international Catersource Conference, a conference, and trade show dedicated to the education and growth of the professional caterer.  “Nothing is more rewarding than doing a job well.”

Meet Terrell Johnson

Chef at Exceptional Catering and EventsMeet Terrell Johnson, Executive Chef at Exceptional Catering and Events.  Chef Johnson, a graduate of the Delgado Culinary School in New Orleans, has over 20 years of experience and has served as Executive Chef in a variety of settings.  He started his career in the restaurant business at the age of 15 as a prep cook at Felix’s and worked his way up through popular restaurants in the French Quarter, including serving on staff at Emeril’s first New Orleans restaurant. At that time, he realized he had a passion for fine dining.

While a native of New Orleans, specializing in Cajun and Creole Cuisine, the chef creates a diverse range of American and International fare, capable of delighting the Southern and Cosmopolitan tastes of Atlanta area residents. From the first Hors D’oeuvres of Grilled Beef Bruschetta and Caribbean Jerk Lollipops, to the Southern Roasted Chicken and Lobster-Stuffed Beef Tenderloin, your guests will agree that this is exceptional fare for any type of event you can imagine!

Meet Lloyd Camel

Meet Lloyd Camel, Dining Room Manager, of Exceptional Catering and Events.  Camel comes to us from The Delta Queen Riverboat, where he originally served as Maître’d and then advanced to Hotel Manager.

Lloyd has many years of experience in Fine Dining service, elevating the dining room service of our company to new heights.  His expertise in service, training, and management is seen in everything he does, from the beautiful folding and presentation of guests’ napkins, to his ability to put guests at ease with his genuine love for what he does – and all with an ability that makes it all look so easy!  Hospitality is one of his many gifts.  Exceptional service, every single time, in a way that makes our clients look good, is his goal.
